I used this to bling the new website I am building on iWeb. I am so impressed by the look and ease of use of iWeb. I looked at sites on Google and there is no comparison. I enjoyed all the sites I looked at for DLC2 - so many great links. I can definitely see using some of these visual dictionaries in class. We were working with understanding Native American culture. Kids see these very different cultures as "poor"- great tool to get at the meaning of poor and rich.

Blogger

I think using a blog to share classroom news has improved my communication with parents. I also think the blog has been useful for students. Recently we used google maps to look at the Pioneer Valley through satellite images. By posting the link on my blog it provided a route for students to visit the same site at home. During our Whale unit last year, posting the links I was using in class helped students share their learning with their parents and revisit sites to explore at their own pace.
